It varies among people. Some folks are ready to roll right out of high school; others have had enough of the academic life and want to see something of how the real world works before diving back into academia. One is likely to find that the real world is rather cruel to people without college degrees, and that may help motivate one to head back to school.

yeah, it's very true that one could have a better appreciation of education when you're older, BUT....I would do it as soon as possible! the older you get, the less likely you are to go to college...and, if you enter now, you'll be with your peers. it's a once in a time experience that you wont be able to have when you're older. get er done!
plus, i'm a senior in college, and even though im only 22, over my past four years (im a fifth year) in school, I have appreciated learning more and more as time goes by. PLUS, the sooner you are educated, the better off you will be in your work life. also, you can always go back to grad school when you're later, etc.
and, I think that college is such a vital part of the growing up process in many ways. it expands your mind in so many ways, not only intellectually, but the experience teaches you so many life lessons...

Go in while your still smart right out of high school so that way you can get further ahead in life in your career goal, don't settle for anything less and the older you are the more you'll find to tie you down into not wanting to go to college. plus it's cheaper now to go, I wish I did when I was fininsihing high school. the rates will go up every 5 yrs .... this is the best advice I can give you from the older generation of speaking to you.. good luck !!!

Every person is going to be different. It's not about age but more a sense of self and desires. If you are going to college simply to go to college, then don't do it. I went to university right out of high school and it worked very well. But I knew exactly what I wanted to do, so I had a goal to pursue.

well if your older you manage your time and money better because your more mature, but if you wait too long after high school you'll start forgetting all that you learned then college will be alot tougher to achieve good grades and graduate but its really what you feel most comfortable doing

i would go right out of high school because college is a long process and it would probably be a waste of time to go later on in your life

Oh, you might learn more if you are older but if you want to make friends, do it sooner than later.

i think right out of high school...........because taking a break usually means procrastination.....and also u wont adjust well to studying after you have been out of it for so long......but if its because of financial reasons, then by all means take ur time
