Why not? If that is your dream then go for it, don't let anyone or any thing hold you back. You are never to old to learn something new

That's a bit late in life to do so. You would be well into your 50's by the time you can practice medicine, and that doesn't leave a lot of time to earn back the considerable costs of a medical education. Still, if after having taken this (and anything else you think relevant) into account, you still want to do it, go for it.

the whole process including residency can take up to a decade, it matters if you wanna spend that kind of money and how long you expect to be practicing.

why not! i was in nursing for many years and then i decided to become teacher. if it is something you want to do i say go for it it certainly can't hurt anything
