depends on how they count it. some docs in some countries count not from you last period... which really is rather dumb instead they count from day of conception... little more accurate. as many women are not regular to the 28 day cycle American docs seem to center women's health on.

i though that 6 months would be 26 weeks, since there are about 4.4 weeks in a month. and 6 months is 2/3 of the pregnancy, and 2/3 of 40 weeks is 26 weeks

anyway, whichever method the book uses, u shud be pregnant on avg for 40 weeks or 9 months (actually 9 months, 1 week).

it depends on if you include the 2 weeks before implantation or not. I am 24 weeks, but considerd in my last week of 6 months or one week away from being in my 3rd trimester. Wierd. Dont be to concerned about how to deal with these numbers and months. Just count by waht you want, i usually call it 4weeks=month. thus i am at the end of 6 months. 24th week. 25th would be start of 7th month, i think.

some books are different. Just go by what the doctors say. they are the most acurate for each different pregnancy. congrats.
