Ive tried chaning half the water, and it hasnt done anything, also on a few of them thier orange scales are turning white.... help?!

Truth is you can try a return and trade deal from a really good
aquarium club. No matter what happens, right here at sea
world nearly all pet fish die after 6 month due to nonrealistic
small tank syndrome. For one thing this is also true of many
kinds of small tank fish collections, remember in real world
aquarium fish survival is about 5 years top because they are
the menu. This part of why they are rare is important. SOOO
THEY will survive when treated with the latest techniques. You
may have had types that lasted 2 years or more, though the
small tank problem is real to them. Good club trades is the
nicest answer, keep a journal of how your doing. You can
actually win fish rewards from sea world. Trading after 15
years wins a fish tank with the best glass, water service, and
lifetime membership events. Some events are good for new
novices and help to display and trade. The survival rates for
properly traded fish is 400%.

Your swords have fungus...act fast or you will not have swords long.
1) 1 teaspoon salt per gallon of water...they need a little salt in the water
2) boil a bunch of pennies in a pot for a while, pour the water into the tank after it cools...swords need a little copper in the water to help them resist fungus.
3) get fungus meds immediately, raise the temp to 85 for a while, even 90..will not hurt the fish, but fungus doesn't like these temps.
Keep some copper in the water at all times, keep a little salt in the water and the fish will do fine. Good luck

Its possible they may just like the heat from the heater and the temperature of the tank may not be warm enough do to the location of the tank, a defective heater, etc.

IF THE ORANGE SCALES ARE TURNING WHITE IT COULD BE OODINUM. THIS IS CHARACTERIZED BY WHITE SPOTS THAT ARE SO TINY AND CLUSTERED THAT THE FISH HAS AN APPEARANCE OF HAVING A WHITISH OR YELLOWISH FILM. THIS COULD BE HELPED BY RAISING THE TEMPERATURE TO 90 DEGREES TO 95 DEGREES FOR A DAY OR TWO. ALSO THERE ARE POPULAR MEDICATIONS IN THE STORES THAT CAN CURE THIS ILLNESS.

(THE SAME MEDICINES FOR THIS ALSO WORK WITH "ICH" SO YOU CAN'T LOSE!)

I HOPE THIS HELPS.

i'm not sure if they are sick, but try warming the water up to around 78 to 80. they see if they get more active. if they still act funny, treat them with some medflex, it's a cure all and should help.

If their scales are turing white it's very likely that they have "ick".... treat it now or they will all die!!! good luck!
