A, A, C.

1) Parallel construction has to do with listing items in a series all in the same way. Only A achieves that.
2) B, C, D have completely unrelated ideas, but for A you could say "The day became longer, so the children could play outside later."
3) A is not a compound sentence, it is complex.
B changes the meaning of the sentence
C must be the answer.

On number 3 was there a "d" choice?

#1- A and D were the only ones to even make sense assuming you copied exactly and D is the only one (not knowing the exact definition of parallel construction) that seems to have any theing to parallel really.

#2- B,C and D all seem to need further details, while A can be easily combined and understood in context.

#3- A follows a correct progression of events, B could have happened at the same time, and C is not complete but seems that it is not a bad choice except for the fact that there is no end to the sentence. Sorry I can't help much with incomplete information.

1. A It follows the same thought pattern and discusses items that belong in a group: things that are worn.

2. A These two sentences have a similar theme a later day. Children playing outside later is directly connected to the fact that the days are longer

3. A The two sentences show that they are two separate events that are cause and effect. Because the rabbit went into the bush, the dog then followed. The other two make it sound like one event that happened simultaneously.
