scrying is a method of divination using a mirror, bowl of water, crystal ball etc. You can also use it for trance work and pathworking, as well as a way to recive unique personal gnosis, connect with past lives, ancestors etc. It is typically done on new moons and around Samahain when the veils are thin. Rubing the surface with mugwort also aids in the process, as does candle light, and the ability to meditate or sit quietly for at least 20 minutes.

It's the past tense of scry. Scry means, really, to look for answers or to look for the truth. Any reflective surface, water, mirror, crystal ball, glass, etc. will allow someone with abilities to look for answers.

it is where you look into a mirror or a body of water.have you ever looked into a barrow filled with water?or look at the water in a creek?this is skrying.Alot of witches do it to communicate with their Gods or Goddesses.With me,since i am a witch,i look into a mirror.And communicate with the Goddess that way.Hope this helps your question out!
