I have heard people who put head phones on their stomache and let their child listen to classical music have a smarter child. Is it true? Should I try it? Is 33 weeks to early?

Inducing your labour is selfish. And keep your legs closed from now on.
---
1.I do not even know you.
2.Inducing your labour is NOT selfish if your child is full term.
3.Who are you to tell me to "keep my legs closed"? My life and I live it how I want to.
Basic summary:I advise growing up, shutting up and keeping your immature comments to yourself. I have yet to see how inducing your labour when your child is ready is not selfish and perfectly fine. My LIFE and MY child. Unless YOUR the one raising my daughter then do not tell me how to raise her or have her and when. Thank you very much. I may not be married and I may be a teenager but I have every right to have sex when I want to. Married couples even more so.

Playing music for your baby is a great idea. However, putting headphones on your belly is not recommended because sound travels faster through water, so the music will be too loud for your baby. Your baby will be able to hear the music if you play it in the room. Do some research on-line if you'd like, but the pregnancy book that I have does not recommend that you put earphones to your belly.

Total waste of time. You're better off eating a good diet and going for light walks. People want to think there is a magic way to make their baby smart. There isn't. It's genetics and a caring upbringing. No amount of Baby Einstein can change anything.

It sounds like a good idea, just remember not to put the music too loud.
They can hear you talk in a normal tone of voice, so just don't blast the music in the headphones. Reading to the baby is a good idea too. My mom did it with my sisters and I.

I think the headphones are a little over the top. Children tend to turn out better if their parents haven't tried too hard. But it can't hurt to play some Mozart and Vivaldi, if you enjoy it.

That is not too early. Your baby can start to hear anywhere after 18 weeks. That is when the ear drums, etc are developed. They say anywhere from then to 24 weeks. So go for it.

Nope at this point your baby can hear you too. You could try reading also so that they know your voice. There's been studies that are pro music and others that aren't but what could it hurt.

i think the children are smarter because the parents cared enough to play music to them before they were even born
