It is clearly stated in both the books and the movies that Anikin was conceived by no normal means - he was conceived spontaeniously through the midichlorions, the microscopic particles of the Force. He had no real father.


In the Star Wars Universe, Anikin was the closest thing to an "Immaculate Birth" as they get.....
