I agree- are you talking fiction or non-fiction?

For non-fiction, it's difficult, but I really love "Pomosexuals" by Carol Queen and Lawrence Schimel- just for showing all the awesome varieties of sexual and gender expression, and the intersections of each.

For fiction, I doubt there's been anything quite so to the point and wonderful as Leslie Feinberg's "Stone Butch Blues". It was both an immensely touching story, a social and political message, and remains one of the very few explanations of butch lesbian/stone butches/TG butches. Perfect.

I'm as gay as a picnic basket and I still think the Bible is the best book I've ever read in terms of my sexual orientation.

It is freeing to know that God does not condemn my orientation and that Jesus never once uttered a single word about homosexuality.

I also know that 99.999999% of the bashers on here have never read it and wouldn't know Aramaic from pig latin.

life. the best and the only book is life baby. Your own experience. Stop reading books is only what other people think and if you are young it will influence your personality. Read books when you are old and ready to die, it will be a nice thing to see what how your peronality might have been influenced

Did you mean textbooks, or novels?

I can't recommend any textbooks, but my favourite novel is 'The Swimming Pool Library', by Alan Hollinghurst.
