As she is getting rid of things - a gift certificate for future shopping of clothes could be a good choice. Candles also are good because they melt and can be thrown out with out misgivings/regret.
I would also remind you that whatever you get she will love. As you are a good person, and rare.
Hope you and yours have have a wonderful Christmas season!

Gift certificates seem to be the best all around. Some say they are impersonal but they aren't, as it gives the person the freedom they need to shop where they want (unless you know specifically a store of her liking).

A spa day is always a perfect gift certificate idea. You can check many websites for the type of spa treatment you think would be best (i.e., massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, etc.). These are things that would not clutter one's house as they are very personal. :)

A nice basket with soaps, lotions and perfumes.
Does she like candles and if so get a candle warmer for it, far more safer than lighting them and the scent still fills the room.
A gift card for her favorite restaurant or shopping center is always nice.
A nice container of homemade cookies always put a smile on my friends.

How about gift of "service". Does she need help with anything? Does she like to get out, but find it difficult to get around? How about a gift a lunch or breakfast or two out? Does she like to visit a museum or someplace else, but lack transportation or company?
