yes you can. how far along dialated you are now really does not determine alot. some women walk around 1 or 2 cm dialated for a few weeks.

You can be 1 cm or 2 cm dilated forever it seems like. With my first I remember I was so excited because the doctor told me at around 37 weeks that i was 2 cm dilated and I ended up delivering the day before my due date. The pregnancy became much longer because I was anticipating going into labor earlier because she had told me that.

YOu could very easily make it to your due date! I was 1 and 2 cent. dilated with my twins from 25 weeks to 31 weeks and then started to dilate more (made it to a 5 before c-section) that is 6 weeks so you could make it too. At only 4 weeks early even if you had your baby now, baby has very good chances of being perfectly healthy just a bit small maybe. My nephew was a 36 weeker and 5 lbs. If your doctor was truly concerned for your baby and labor progressing you would be given meds to stop it and steriods to help the baby's lungs.

Maybe,I started dilating at 29 weeks and I had her at 35 weeks I would not worry about it I was dilated to a 4 before I ever went into labor. I think you will defiantly make it to like 37-or 38 weeks!!
Good Luck

Everyone woman is different, but I would say more than likely yes. I ended up having to be induced at 38 1/2 weeks anyway because my blood pressure went up, but I was 1 cm at 36 weeks and had stayed that way.

You will more than likely make it to your due date.... Many women start dilating when they are over 6 months. Any baby is considered full term anytime after 37 weeks. Do not worry, sounds like you are worrying...??? I am sure everything will be fine.. Worst case scenario, you have the baby tonight, It will still be fine... Smile and enjoy your last few moments of your belly moving, and being pregnant... Trust me, you will miss your belly when you have the baby... Congratulation!!! regardless, you will be a mommy soon.... Enjoy, It is the best thing I have EVER done with my life, and they are the best people in my life, next to my fiance...lol...

You can be 1 cm. dilated for the remainer of the time. When I was 37 weeks with my 3rd preg. I was almost 3 cm. dilated. I thought for sure that he would come early, but no such luck.

I'm sure you will make it to your due date. Being dilated shows your body is preparing for the upcoming birth. Women can be dilated for weeks before going into labor. So it doesn't really mean labor is days away.

There is a very good chance you will get close to your due date. It is common to be dilated a bit before going into labor. Surely your Dr. talked to you about this? If not, call her/him!!
If you are not contracting, and if your water isn't broken its fine! And, yes quite normal
Besides, 37 weeks is the magic number of weeks in a normal preg. Your baby will be healthy even if he/she arrives as early as next week!
You need to be talking to your Dr about these concerns!!!

This was my experience I was dilated at 1cm at week 35, then 2cm at week 36 then 3cm from 37-38 and was induced.... Every woman is different and if you are not having contractions I would not stress it.... Ask your Ob-Gyn.... call the nurse will not mind answering your questions and it could put your mind at ease. Good luck and God bless you and your baby.

If this is your first you most likely will make it to your due date. Although no one can say for sure.
I was 4 cm dialated and 80% effaced with my first child for 3 weeks and then ending up being induced.
Good luck to you and congratulations!
