We Kammu believe in fate, and hope that fortune is to come. But no one can see his own fate nor know his future. We can, however, use the chicken bones to divine what lies in store for us. This is done by sacrificing a cock or a hen and using the thigh-bones to find out our good or bad future, or good or bad luck.

There are various ceremonies, some for the ill, others for those who are about to start the certain work in the fields, and there are special ceremonies for unhappy as well as for happy occasions.

Divination follows the sacrifice of the bird and is considered a minor ritual. Not only the shaman, a priest-doctor, but any elder or knowledgeable person can perform a divination by chicken bones; providing they are able to interpret the result and understand what measures should be taken.

If the diviner predicts bad luck, we must listen and try to find the ways to protect ourselves.

Yes I have. I learned this from an old Jamaican Lady years ago when I was in the Country for a little visit. It works well if Your into the whole divining thing but really I'm not interested very much in the future; it's the now that spins my wheels. It's a funny thing about all that stuff, You don't have to believe in it but I liken it to the Ocean; You don't have to believe in that either but if You go in it Your going to get wet; if You can see what I mean.

no,but that is automatically voodoo magick.i dont do that type of magick but i know of it.I once watched a show of that on discovery channel and the color woman would take the chicken bones and use them as tarot cards.WILD!the chicken bones i guess from what i could tell that they were doing is using them to read one's future.with the bones there are certain designs on them.that they can tell of one's future.hope this helps though.But i dont go much for voodoo.

Please stay away from this, if you have no idea how it works, it can be extremely bad. I know a family that decided to practice Santeria and used chicken bones. They quickly turned to satan worship and took the path of darkness. I suggest finding a teacher in the right hand path and learning as an apprentice. Stay away from the bones, please.
