I was wondering how many hours of music the average person listen to.

I think I am the only existing species on this planet who doesn't listen to music at all! (You got it right - I never listen to music unless I am chained and the ear-phone is plugged in!)
So my average in a day? Probably 0.000257 Hours (Might hear some while walking by!)

An average person who does not have access to music because of their work listens to music on average 3 hours a day while commuting or in shower.
The ones who have access to music at their work place/drive/travel or for their work or work from home average 8 hours/day.

I'm not average I guess. My days off, my music is playing non-stop. From the time I wake, til I go to bed. Unless it's meal time. That's family time :). Days I work, from 6:30pm until 10pm my music is playing.

ummm...well music is always just playing in my head lyk parts of songs and stuff...but lyk listening to the radio and stuff on the computer probably 5 hours unfortunately...damn i need an iPod so i can listen to music more coz @ skool im always lyk gawd i wish i had an iPod coz i loooove music!

depens on your lilfe style, you work you listen to music, you drive you listen to music, at home your kids or you are listing to music, on tv more music so unless you are in a cave somewhere with no teconology will still be listing to nature's music......but i would save 80% of your day you will be lilsting to music peace

i listen to music wherever i go. even when i am sleeping, i have music on. i love music. so, probably, 23 hours!!!
