That is what most of the people believe , and is such a pity because the majority don't know that the mind being a function of the brain can be controlled , you see first you have to realize and accept that the brain and it's function thinking is only a tool of every person , just like your hand is, or leg , etc. The brain for most part has been given the freedom to be thought out as uncontrollable with it's own powers ... you can stop your brain acting freely and start to control it , first realize that you are not what your brain thinks , you are superior of un unbelievable intelligence and love ,and that part of you has no brain it is the part of your being . Start practicing by visualising blank and maintaining it as long as you can , and notice that sensation of silence and life in your self with out using your brain , feel the filing in your self of being alive , the energy with-in that emanates
from your being that is you , in that position of feeling the being of your self ,try to observe your brain spewing information out , as if it ware your hand in action .... but finding that inner energy of your being , you will discover where true love lies and when emotions come .Look at them in your heart , as if it were in the palms of your hand , and you will be able to make choices from your being , this way you dont let the mind do tricks on you , the brain likes to create illusions and lies for the sole purpose of fixing what it hasn't happen . Another form of controlling the brain and thinking is being in the now , in the present moment , work at it ..

I believe that everything happens for a reason, so whatever actions you complete while in this confusion must rely on what happens next. You can never be sure about love and hate unless you have reasons that support your opinion. Mind tricks can be crazy as well. If you think you are hated by someone, you may start to hate them even if the whole issue is a misunderstanding. You have to know yourself and your body to figure out what is right sometimes.

I'm not sure. Your mind's emotions are based on certain 'triggers'. If a certain thing happens, it 'triggers' your mind to think a certain way about a certain thing. Also, outward apperance counts, too. If you take one look at someone and think, "No way", then your mind will reject certain treatment from this person (aka, judging a book by it's cover). For example, if a somewhat 'geeky' person offers you something, you will automaticly reject that person because of the opinion and emotions your mind has developed of that person.

Our minds include our feelings. We can never be sure of our feelings because we can be tricked by others. It is not ourselves we need to worry about but others who would play with our feelings.
