eh... easy answer is bush... but for the sake of change... I'll throw out a new name... Hu... who I think is the leader of China...

China is quietly laying the groundwork for a international power move on resources... it held a large meeting in Africa to talk to many African countries... it has met with many South American countries as well...

and as the earths population grows... resources from these less "explored" countries will become exponentially more important... and a good groundwork can end in great rewards, just ask any business man...

by the time America realized the need for the materials, some of these key countries may already be in China's back pocket...

and also the continued North Korean situation... China has long been viewed as the "more responsible" big brother of the often delinquent little brother N. Korea... and it's sway over N. Korea is much greater than any other nation... although not total...

then also factor in what appears to be almost monthly record trade deficits that the U.S. has had with China over the past few years... and that's a lot of money flowing in that direction...

but we'll see what happens...

Sen. John McCain

He showed that the Republican party does not just automatically fall in behind Bush and demonstrated that government officials can sometimes be above playing politics. By speaking out against torture, regardless of the end result of the situation, McCain brought concrete human lives back into political decisions.

Being a moderate Republican, McCain's non-partisanship influenced voters in the election and gave rise to the high number of moderates elected on both sides.

It is somewhat telling about modern life in America that fame is considered a virtue, or that being influential necessarily means you are not evil.

Hardly anybody outside America knows anything about Barack Obama. I am sure he is a great person, but has he actually done anything earth shattering?

George W Bush has not changed domestically America that much (especially if you compare him to Clinton or Reagan). He has made considerable changes to American foreign policy, some good, some bad, but there are other world leaders whose actions this year would be more remembered (for better or worse) in later years: Hu Jintao, Tony Blair, Vladimir Putin, John Howard, Hugo Chavez, Manmohan Singh or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

LOOK AROUND YOU, do you see any other heads up to count except Bush? He's feared by foreign governments, dismissed by others and widly dispised by his own constituancy. Yet he forges on unpopular or not. . He wants to bring the terrorist down. Look at the economy.....things are going swimingly....But no one cares. At least he's not setting his windsock out to see how the breeze blows today. You know what you've got, like it or not, vote for change next time around.

President Bush, hands down. He is a great American and a great leader.
(Seriously don't understand why someone selected B. Obama when he hasn't helped anyone down here in Florida or any of my family up in Ohio. - Some brain washing going on again in the Dem's party?)
