what are all the items that i need to have a green anole lizard as a pet?

A tank, something for them to climb on, something for them to hide under, A waterfall or a daily misting, a UVB light, calcium and vitamin supplements, and food, any insects preferably crickets.

A basking bulb for heat, a flourescent uvb bulb that emits atleast 5 percent uvb rays so the lizards can absorb calcium, vitamin supplement to "dust" the crickets with atleast once a week, crickets that are the same size as the space between the lizards eyes, coconut fiber for substrate, a misting bottle to mist the lizards atleast twice a week, a digital thermometer to make sure the basking temps are 85-90 degrees, a 20 gallon aquarium and a screen cover with clips since anoles can climb glass.

1. Cage- preferably a glass tank made for reptiles with a screen lid. For 1 anole you need either a 10gallon or 20gallon, the more lizards the larger the cage needs to be.

2. Substrate (bedding)- aspen, coco bark, bark chips, etc. (from a petstore, NEVER from outside or a garden store.)

3. Heat- Either a heat lamp, or a heat pad, something to provide warmth on one end of the cage. Do not use heat rocks, they can burn your lizard.

4. Food. Anoles eat live insects, such as crickets, mealworms, waxworms, etc. Make sure you always have food available.

5. Water bowl.

6. Hiding place- log, cave, rock, something he can crawl in or under to hide.

7. Hand sanitizer- always wash up after you hold your lizard, they carry germs.
