I'm always reluctant to smile because I have braces, and I'm 15.
I've never really liked smiling, but recently I've gotten a higher self esteem and want to smile more. however, the braces keep me from being happy about my smile.
I know that smiling is one of the most attractive things you can do, but I'd like to know if it also works for people who have braces!!

I have braces and i smile, what's there to hide ? Ive had them for almost a year. I smile, giggle etc i sometimes forget i have them because im used to it. I'm 16 by the way. I've yet to meet a guy that dissed me or stoped talking to me because of my braces. So far so good my braces havent been holding me back. lol to be honest i get complemented because i always keep my teeth and the brakets clean. you can have a cute smile with braces, don't knock it.

Yes, because that is YOU! When you look back at those pictures, you will have a good rememberance of your braces and how you were even happy with them on! Think of how good you'll feel when they are off!!! I had orthodontic work done for 3 years, so I understand where u are coming from, but when I look back today, 16 years later, I do not regret the smile I had on my face and the fact that my braces were front and center!

Smiling shows you emotion. The true you. If people judge your smile because you have braces then they're just wrong. Think of it this way, because of those braces one day your smile will be so beautiful you'll want to show your teeth off every second of the day.

Smile! I had braces when I was younger and I have all these weird looking no teeth smiles to hide them. The pictures of me actually smiling with the braces look great! You are lucky to have braces, once they come off your teeth will be perfect!

just smile and show your self, dont hide it. so many people these days have braces, wats there to be ashamed of? your not the only one i have them too and had the same problem, but knowing that once you get them off they'll be twice as better. and about smiling being attractive, it does it also adds more shine to your smile. = ]]

Smile! People who don't and are always hiding their teeth look weird. Plus it's good practice for when you get them off!
