When I try to "sync" my ipod to my new computer, a window pops up that says it will only sync if the contents of my ipod are deleted. I don't want to lose what is on my ipod... how do i get around that?

Get a program called copypod. It is cheap ($19.95) and allows you to move your songs from your ipod to another computer. It is great.
If you try to sync without this, the new computer's iTunes will erase your iPod and you will have nothing.
