I used to be on Depo for over 10 years. I quit near 2 years ago, not because I wanted to get pregnant, I just hate my doctors. So now I get a period maybe every 3-4 months. But if it's been more than 4 days since I had sex, and I have sex, BOOM, the period shows up. What's up with that? It's like my body is just storing it knowing I was on a dry spell.

Why does sex cause a period to happen out of the blue?

could be hormone fluctuations....maybe.

lets see what do i know about female maturation...there are three phases...menstrual, proliferative, and secretory...hormones play important roles at various stages, including folicle stimulating hormones, estrogen, etc. however, to the best of my knowledge testosterone surges from sex shouldn't do doing that but hey, i'm just a nursing student in the first semester :)

however, i must say i'd give ya the same advice i'm about to give ya regardless of where i was in my education...go see your gynecologist. if that is who you are currently having issues with and you're unable to switch, at least bring this up with your general practioner.

sorry for any mis-spellings or bad punctuation, i'm in a hurry :p

no longer something to agonize approximately :-) each and every females' reproductive equipment works in yet differently in accordance to her hormones. once you're under pressure as an occasion: it may in many circumstances consequence a era. that's totally gentle, or heavier than ususal. As you have basically relly been getting your sessions for some months you're very own unique equipment continues to be adjusting to the indoors variations occurring. it may take many greater months, if no longer years for it to settle in to a set rhythm. no longer basically do hormones consequence the era yet so does weight fluctuations, nutrition plan and tension. i might propose conserving a be conscious on a dail foundation once you get the era and the kind you experience every day. additionally, how long the era lasts for. in case you journey undesirable cramping or gentle clotting ( which additionally are commonplace ) then i might propose you pass see your usual practitioner. otherwise, i might propose the superb element to do is pass with the circulate. that's a brilliant time fo your physique and their are super hcanges occurring for you. attempt to no longer problem :-)

I know you don't want to see your Dr so how about seeing a new one or going to a women's clinic, I think you should have the investigated. In the meantime, it could be that your body is reacting to the vigorous workout during intercourse that brings on the period. It could simply be a coincidence, its best to have it checked out.

sex does not cause you to get your period. Sex is probably causing some tearing or bleeding of you skin or tissues. I know you don't like doctors, but go see an OB/GYN right away.
