The main thing that makes my life easier is having a husband who believes we are equals, and share responsibilities. He does a lot more than just take out the garbage. We both work, so we share the chores.
Other than that, just having modern appliances makes life easier than not having them I guess. Microwave, computer, etc.

1) Giving up on ever having an immaculately clean house.
2) Knowing that the Jones' that I feel I should keep up with are up to their eyeballs in debt. We may not have as much stuff, but live life to it's fullest just the same.
3) Having an education that allows me to get a job now matter where we live.
