The biggest and most obvious is lower back pain from sitting in a position for so many hours that is hard on the posture. Many truck drivers end up with lumbar disc compression problems.
Also, hemorrhoids is a common problem among drivers.
Other hazards for truck drivers are:
1. Transporting highly toxic materials and chemicals. When spills happen during an accident, drivers are exposed to these toxins.
2. Driving the highways and being on the outskirts of cities, a driver is limited to restaurants to choose from. They end up being victims of truck stops that are not known for healthy food. The driver's diet is often compromised resulting in related diseases.
3. Unless the company the driver works for follows the regulations of how long drivers can make runs without stopping for proper sleep, the driver can be subjected to sleep deprivation and unregular sleep patterns. This is highly stressful on the body. Some drivers may turn to drugs to keep them awake.
4. Driving often and in much bad weather conditions ups the driver's chance of highway accidents.
5. Unless a driver makes sure they get proper exercise when not on the job, a driver can develop circulation problems from hours of sitting in one position with limited movement.

A big issue with truck drivers beside what has already been said is something called microsleep, were you fall asleep for a few seconds. There have been many accidents due to this. Check out this link: http://www.sleepdex.org/microsleep.htm
