Yup...I started my period last year and was wondering if there was a chance I could grow 6 to 7 more inches. My dad's side of the family is tall and he is tall but my mom's side of the family is short and she is short.

Registered Nurse here; Yes dear you will still grow taller. It is true that males reach there growth rate later than females, also true that by the time you start your menstrual cycle you have grown in height, more than you well ever grow again. But at the tender age of 13 you have at least two more inches left, possibly more. Much depends on genetics, such as your parents height. Hope this helps. if you've already started menstruating, that means that you have finished puberty, and there is a good chance that the growth plates on your bones have already sealed. If they have, you probably will not get any taller. It's all good though. I got my period when I was 11, and grew only another half inch taller.

listen you, need someone 2 love :-) you've got no worries!!
getting taller isn't like doing your homework or or doing sports so long as you eat properly (no special diets or anything like that) and so long as you go to bed early everyday, don't smoke anything and don't jump from trees head first, you should be fine!
i think you'll grow quite tall if you give it a few years;,but what will you do if you grow taller than all the boys? most boys don't like really tall girls!!
if you're anything like me, you won't care.

Most girls arnt that tall, they normally stop growing at like 13-15 at least, thats what ive noticed...

your stressin' about it is gonna stunt your growth so don't do that! stay away from cafeine and smoking. make sure you drink lots of milk and that your eating well balanced meals with plenty of excercise. if you want your temple to grow you must give it the utmost care, love, and attention!
