I have several ties with a limited amount of space. I kept all of the tie hangers when I purchased the ties. The only way I have them organized is by hanging them on their tie hangers, and the tie hangers are hanging from a regular hanger that is hanging from a doorknob. I can't hang the regular hanger in the closet because the weight of all the ties will cause the hanger to snap.

i did this for my brother and he really liked the idea. since you dont want to put a hole in ur wall. get one of the comparments in one of your drawers and clean it up. then take the ties and roll em' ( from the top to bottom) put them one by one right next to each other in the drawer. it works and you dont have to buy anything. and don't worry about the ties being messed up because you rolled em' when you wear them it wont even look like you rolled them. try it . i hope this helps :]

There's a little tie organizer gadget that hangs in your closet and you can drape your ties over the 30-or-so tie hangers. It's pretty space efficient. Look for it where you would buy regular clothes hangers. It also has two hooks at the bottom for belts. Little plastic thing. I bought two at Wal-Mart.

Try a steel pants hanger. They are sturdy and are open on one end to allow you to slide the pants on and off. They usually are designed to hold 5 or 6 prs of pants each. You should be able to use several of these to organize your tie collection.
