Did you have renter's insurance? If so, they should pay, not you.

keep it under cold running water, use aloe vera (many brands have a pain aid in it) but don't use this on broken skin. you may not feel the need to go to the emergency room or hospital....but make an appointment to see your dr. they can give you an antibiotice ointment that you can use over your entire burn area and prevent infection and aid in healing. there are three classifications of burns 1st degree bur - like a good sun burn-hurts but no biggie 2nd degree-or partial thickness a deeper burn that burned deep enough to almost reach the nerves so they are super sensitive and hurt like a mother bleeper, and blistering is comon. if this is is more then the size of a dime (US) best to get it checked out. 3rd degree burns-or full thickness burns, where the nerve was actually burned, the burn area does not hurt because the nerve was burned, and damaged or killed (temporarily or permanent) but the area surrounding it is extremely painful and unbareable....this needs to be checked out by a dr, these can become infected very easily! blistering around the burn (dead tissue) is common. it may be best to make an appointment with your dr to just have him/her look at it to classify it, but you may have areas that are 1st and 2nd, and i would not at all be surprised if there was areas that wer 3rd degree. really throwing water on an oil fire...moron! good grief who to taught her to cook, did anyone teach her fire saftey sheesh. burning oil and water not good bedfellows. use a large lid towel (damp) or baking soda if it is small otherwise get out! a fire extinguisher will do it but make a mess that will be fun to clean up! (at least there would be something to clean up.
