My daughter recently had same problem, and it sounds like your computer isn't up to scratch. Sims 2 Requires a minimum of a 1000Mhz processor, and 256 memory to function. Keep in mind this is a minimum. The other issue is your graphics card. If the Graphics card isn't up to scratch, you will be wasting your time and get very frustrated. I am pretty sure this is your drama, and all software comes with system requirements, read carefully.

I have Sims 2 also and it does in fact take up tonss of room. I suggest that if you have any other games on your computer, to uninstall them because those could be the culprits. Check the settings on your game when you press Pause, go to options. I also suggest that you go to a electronics store like Best Buy or Circuit City and ask to put more RAM (Random Access Memory) onto your computer. Uninstalling things and adding RAM will make it faster. I hope that helped. Good Luck!

all you have to do is buy a bigger graphics card so that will stop happening..my Sims is the same way. except my people can actually move. but if u don't have the money to buy more memory and graphics card than just uninstall everything else u don't need and my advise is to also get avg free virus blocker it will help your puter go faster.

You probably don't have a very strong graphics card. My sister had the same problem with her old computer (which evenutally died). You could either buy a new graphics card or get a new computer.

The amount of memory space on your computer probably accounts somewhat for the sluggishness. Just try going through your programs and files and deleting the items you no longer use.

The Sims2 takes up a lot of room, so if your having trouble you need a higher graphics card and more memory. Do you have any add-ons? They can mess up your games if you get a bad one. Do you have Windows XP?
