If you live in Michigan they will. Michigan has zero tolerance for underage drinking.
-I just thought I would update this for all you who have chastised her for drinking and driving. No where in her question does it say she was driving!!! If she had been drinking and driving she would have gotten more than just a ticket for minor in possesion. Some states will take away a minors driving license just for being in possesion of alcohol even when they are not in a vehicle.

What state are you in, because the laws are different in each state. Generally, you could have your license taken away for longer than 3 months. You could go to jail in some states. Expect any of the following: fines of $500 a piece up to $2000 total, community service, a mandatory AA class, license suspension for a year or more, mandatory curfew. If you attend college or high school, you could face disciplinary proceedings from your school as well. Starting going to AA now and maybe the judge will show mercy on your soul. Judges go easy on abusers who get help.
Because your fine may be more than $1000, it may be in your best interest to hire a lawyer. If he saves you your license, you can drive to a job to pay her back. Call a criminal defense attorney and get some advice.

Hi, 101,
What is the definition of extortion? The court system which is about to wreck havoc on your life!!!!
You can win! See the Ticket Assassin link below on why you should fight!!
My friend used this site and over the last 3 years has won 7 of 8 traffic cases!
Normally, I might not have answered your question. But when I see how violent and rude these answerer's have been....
I shudder. You would think no one else had ever done anything wrong.
In California, according to the CHP, they only give out one ticket for every 350 people that are drinking and driving! So please don't feel alone. You had better bad luck!
Alas, for the sensibilities of Americans and their quaint morality to judge you, here in Mexico, my home, you would have received no ticket at all. It is true, if you have an accident or run over someone, and you have been drinking, you will be in prison for the next 40 years!!!
But there is no law against driving and driving. Or open containers, or having minors in the car, or whatever other idea.
But back to you in US. Each state has different laws as you know. Some like Maine, have automatic lockup laws. One ticket gets you in jail for the next three days. No exceptions and includes driving while smoking pot.
California hits you with a mandatory wicked fine of about $2000.
And required classes and takes your birthday for awhile.
Get the information on Ticket Assassin. Then you could call the court where you are scheduled to appear. Ask to know the mandatory penalties.
Also, the DMV in your state likely publishes information either on the web or in those little books you study for your driving test.
Also, You could get feisty and contest the tickets, who knows you may break legal ground!!
I hope that you will get some ideas and you take care of yourself.
A Short Story
One night my friend drove us back from the bar. Or maybe bars. We had a 'few'. Then, we slipped and slided over the icy backwoods roads up in Maine on a winter night.
Sure enough the man in blue finds us out in the wild about 1 am.
We follow him to the station where Duane gets a blood test. Of course, he is over the limit, by a lot.
Well, then cop didn't really know what to do with us. So he tosses me the keys to Duane's car and says "you look OK. Drive him home."
No joke. We get home, eventually, long after the sun is up. Driving around for hours, we had to gas up, about the time we both sobered up and figured out where we were!
Best of Luck to you. I hope you beat the tickets and come out OK.

I certainly hope they take it away for a lot longer - driving is a privilege, not a right, and if you refuse to take the law seriously, you shouldn't get the privilege.
My father died in a drunk-driving accident. I consider anyone who drives under the influence scum; they should be locked up on the first offense.

Some one should show you a house with an alcoholic on board. I few feet of that film might dampen your ardor for booze. It's not fun you're having, it preparation for an addiction that whill hound you all your life.

Depends what state/county you live in. Also, what your judge chooses to do will make a difference as well.
