how do Reps want to solve the healthcare/dental care issue? its not like everyone can afford health/dental care. i dont know how many times i almost died or got seriously injured by staying away from the doctor/dentist, and i know from experience that nature does NOT heal. many people in the US are complaining about health care and especially dental costs. right now after the other stuff i went through, i either have to pay a ****load out of pocket to get treatment for a cavity thats giving me hell, or i wait till something else happens.

i consider myself a conservative (non-Rep) on many issues, but from what i know about this issue, the Dems have the upper hand on health care. how do Republicans want to solve the problem, or do they?
o ya, and my health has had a colorful record in the past year or so, but its not always a choice.

Both sides want to solve the healthcare issue. Problem is complex. The Republicans say that malpractice insurance and lawsuits must be curbed first. They say that no healthcare plan would work without limits on malpractice lawsuits. Some may call that vision or at least good planning. But the Dems want to do it regardless of the consequences to a degree. Sure, they don't mean it that way, but it reminds me of the current situation in our country. Vote us in, and we promise to have a solution, tomorrow. Vote for healthcare, and trust us, we'll fix the problems later. It's noble to try, but not prudent to try with blinders on.

There are a lot of pitfalls involved when you start with what is meant for good. Like the saying the road to hell is paved with good intention. I don't think that the two sizes can come up with a solid idea on their own.
That's why we have mor than one party. I don't believe that the Dem's have what you cal the upper hand on health care. a bipartisan bill much be passed. I think our country only works when we enforce checks and balances. It isn't meant to be the better of two evils. Yes I see where the idea that Dem's want higher tax to support the health care of it's less fortunate people. Unfortunately there is going to be those who want to cheat the system. Not only individuals but Dr's as well. You can look at any ideas such as giving to 9/11 victims or giving to Katrina victims. There was such a gross waste of finances but into the policies. There is no magic wand but at least in an act of bipartisanship we can put our cards on the table and come up with a more workable responsible plan.

The democrats "upper hand" consist taking my money that I work hard for and using it on people that are too lazy or just don't care!!!!
I think states need to be put in charge of health care!!! Through a state program with all residents participating and paying a fee that will cover all health care cost including dental and vision!!!
Each resident can pay their fee and be covered!!!
Of course it is flawed and has holes in it but it would be a lot better that raising my taxes to help the lazy complainers!!!!!!

Is your health insurance high enough yet?
You can thank John Edwards. Shyster Lawyer.
He has caused insurance and health care costs to go up.
Do a little research and see what a horrible thing he did to this country, just to get millions himself.
We will rue the day if we allow the Democrats to stick us with Socialized Health Care.
If the Democrats can pull off Communist Health Care, then they can turn this into a Communist Nation.

The Republican plan? it's called, "DON'T GET SICK!"

(Psst! There is a "third way" and a "fourth way" to cover everyone and reduce costs and not create another huge government bureaucracy!"
