It is a hard drive erasure program. You can not delete certain file in the OS. It will completely wipe your hdd clean of any data. You will need to repartion the hdd and reformat the hdd then it will be ready to use again. You can use Win 98 boot disk or your windows XP disk and redo the hdd...Thanks

I wouldn't bother. If you want to wipe your hard drive (make sure you have what you need backed up first), just boot your Windows disk and go through the setup and make sure you format the hard drive at the beginning of the setup.

That will wipe everything off the drive.

The benefit is, garbage builds up in the OS after years of use, slowing it down. Wiping it and starting over will get your system running as fast as it did when you first bought it.

I wipe my system and re-load every year. Keeps it running nice and fast.
