Is old "Don" better than the new "Don", what were the plot differences? I have not seen the old one

Look I can't speculate which one is better, coz which I do think better...may not seem better to u, isn't it ? I'm telling u the differences in story-line plots one-by-one...

Firstly, the villager named 'Vijay' was the real hero in older DON, the villain who's name was 'Don' had gone dead earlier. And in new DON (as u've seen) Vijay has a short role 'n here he's being killed by the villain-turned-hero real 'Don'.

Secondly, in older DON, there was two separate characters -- one police-commissioner who appointed Vijay to pretend as Don; another character who was corrupt officer in police-department involving into the gang of Don. The first character died earlier & second one died at climax. In new DON, there's only one character, named as DeSilva (role played by Boman Irani) within whom both characters coincide... he's corrupt as well as he's the person who tries to appoint Vijay to act as Don.

The above two 're main plot-based differences ... other differences 're not substantial. Older DON used all simple actions 'n processes; whereas new DON's modernized, hollywood-like, furnished with martial arts & all modern digital gadgets. To me Farhan has exceeded beyond C.Barot (as director). But storyline was good in previous DON.

I have seen the old Don movie and it was pretty much the same as the new Don in terms of the plot. But in my opinion, the old one was much better.

there r many differences. in old don, there's only one noteworthy twist, while in the new one, there r lots. the old twist was the ompuri character in new don turning out 2 b a fake, a villain.
the climax twist in new don is simply brilliant, least xpected by ne1 who's seen the original.
the action and fx (as it shoul b) in new movie is also a lot better.
what has been left untouched r the classic dialogues and music( just remixed 4 some added punch)
but thenew don fails in a number of ways. 1st of all which is 1 xpected a lot better from farhan. also none of the flaws in the original have been removed, not even attempted.
where the old don scores over is SRK vs BACHAN factor. even die hard SRK fans will have 2 agree, shahrukh's no match 4 the big B, not only that, his performance in the movie is, 2 say the least, terrible. jsut wathch the song kaike pan banaraswala n u'll agree...

I liked new DON despite of its loopholes.I have seen the old one.It is an OK film.Anyway it doesn't have this much loopholes.Its climax is not very good.Anyway its performances are good,unlike new DON.The first half is same but the remaining is different.In that film DON will die and Desilva is a positive character.These are differences.

i think both are good. but the new don is the exact same as the old don. but at the end they change it. i think u should see the old don. they copyed the whole thing. the names, the dialouge, everything. at the end of the old don the officer is good and he dies for real. and the don doesnt live in the old one. but i loved the old one. oh and the copyed all the songs. i think u should see the old don to really understand. hopw that helps!

i liked both of them.try to see the old one too.the plot was quite different in the new one.the end is surprising.shahrukh was pretty good too.the old one is simpler but it`s great.

i m 13 and i like comedy and action movies, but i hated don, if u want to see a good movie watch Vivah
