my laptop from dell, going on it's third year in existance started acting up and so i had to send it back, my screne kept going black, i want to know if when i get it back will it still have all the things i've saved on it? and if not how do i tell them to save them?

As long as nothing is wrong with the hard drive, they won't replace the drive. They can replace the entire laptop and as long as it's the same hard drive, it will still work as it always did.

Dell won't replace something that isn't faulty.

this is purely you(DELL'S slogan) and purely your mistake to send when you have information on it.I think you will have to contact your buyer and get it back.Then save the information on CD's and give it back to him.

well its nothing software they'll check screen and correct it. i dont think it has anything to do with harddisk. maybe they will check that resolution is not messed up. its better to let them know not to format the drive.

As far as i know they should keep all of you information on the computer.
