Get him something he likes. If, he your best friend, think of some things he enjoy and find something with-in your price range. Heck, if he have a nice car he take care of, a REAL chamois cloth and a few cool cleaners. If, he into computers and or games, a nice jump drive or a new cool game. But, I not know him and you do, so, think along those lines and if he a good person, he will appreciate whatever you get.
I remember once people gave me different gifts and many were nice and some expensive and I did appreciate what I got. But, this one girl gave me a cheap honing stone in a little leather case to sharpen my pocket knife because she seen me use it all the time. I bet she not spend over $5 and that was my favorite gift. That was very many year ago. I still use that Honing Stone to sharpen my knife. ;-)

It depends. If he's into video games, get him the PS3, or Wii, or a video game. Get something that corresponds with something that the person likes.
