When he or she is giving you an excuse for not getting what you want right. It's not considered a lie according to him or her because it's only a little white lie. And besides, he or she is trying to cover his *ss for his or her mistake.

when he has one of those weird mustaches and he smiles menacingly through disgusting teeth while reaching for the gun underneath the counter. or if he tries to pay as least amount of attention to you as possible and says "Next in line" very quickly.

Not giving good eye contact, taking awhile for them to give out the answer to your questions and them trying to get their way with you.
