doing a resrch. paper on how the media negatively affects young african americans, need help!?

does any one know where i can find some good articles on the media negatively affecting young african americans? i NEED links, i have to site my sources so dont copy and paste the article it's self as your answer! and if you know any magazine articles that you may have can you please refer me to them but i will need the authors info and publishing info also. best answer gets 10 points! Here's a book that you might be able to pick up at a library: The Black Image in the White Mind: Media and Race in America, By Robert M. Entman, Andrew Rojecki

Does your school have access to EBSCO host? That's a really great way to find periodicals for research. I used EBSCO host to find the following article:

http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0190-2725(199709)60%3A3%3C266%3AEOSTPO%3E2.0.CO%3B2-7 is a link to the abstract of a relevant research article, but you'd have to visit a library with this journal to get the full article (most university libraries will have this journal..it's quite common)

You can also try scholar.google.com. It's a great research tool!

Negativity towards young African Americans my dear young lady is in you head and not in the media! So, my advise to you is start looking at the imperfect world, we all live in, as is and stop creating problems for yourself at such an early age.

By media I hope you mean that propagandish show "Cops' (as parodied on mad TV-that was funny!), the show on fox, now that makes me cry for the U.S. Constitution.
