I have been on Depo Provera for 10yrs now. The whole time I have been on it I never gained weight until I missed a shot and I didn't start back on it for about a year and in that time that is when the extra pounds came. Like some people have already stated it affects everyone diffrently so you will not know really before hand if you will gain weight or not. One of the side effects I used to experience where headaches which turned into migraines.

Gaining weight on birth control really isn't a sure thing. Instead you might want to try eating food frequently throughout the day. Protein shakes and bars can also help with this. Just make sure that you aren't overstuffing yourself and that you're attempting to choose healthier items so you're not just eating empty calories.

I'm assuming that you mean you want a bigger rear end. You should try weight lifting exercises that build bulk for your legs and rear. I don't know any but someone at the gym would and exercise would be a lot better for you and make the shape of your big rear better. I don't think hormones would be as good for you.

See a proper nutritionist about gaining weight properly. Don't eat yourself into oblivion, because externally, you may not be getting the results you want and you may keep on eating bad foods. But internally, your system could get really messed up.

With all the risks involved with taking the pill, I wouldn't take it unless it's necessary for you to use it for it's intended purpose. Try increasing your daily calorie intake, just make sure it's not with junk food! Peanut butter, nuts, cheeses, using more olive oil or other healthy oils. I'd try this first, and if you still don't see any results talk to your physician, maybe you need to have your thyroid tested to make sure it's not overactive.
