If no teams sign him during this off-season, I would not be surprised to see him retire. Nothing against Barry Bonds, but the image he portrays is a little bit arrogance and not really friendly. He is not the type of player, one wants to see as the leader of an an offensive category--yet again there is Pete Rose--so go figure. If Ken Griffey, Jr or Frank Thomas were healthy throughout their careers, I rather have seen these sluggers chase the record--than Barry.

He will retire after one more year, just long enough to beat Hank Aaron's home run record. Then he will take his millions and do as he damn pleases., and that will be laughing at all his white foes!!!
Go Barry Bonds!!!!
He hasn't done any worst than the rest of them---Mark McGuire,Sammy Sosa, etc.

I think he will retire in 1 or 2 yrs. He is a great batter but not a great outfielder . and no team is going to pay what he wants to get paid so he will surely retire in a few years.

This February. I believe his numbers are legit, but seeing him as a DH would only cheapen the record.

He will try to hold out until he breaks "O Henry's" record, but he probably still won't get inducted into The Hall of Fame.
