We met about three years ago..the connection between us was really intense and we became really close really fast...but we were both going through some personal issues so we could never quite get it together...I had a drug addiction which caused him a lot of pain. I moved out of state and since then I have gotten my life together and we have been communicating through e mail...we haven't physically spoken in like two years. I still love him and I want to give us a real chance...so how do I do it???

If you have changed, then your actions will show you have. It will take some time to convince him. Stay concistent and don't fall back to old patterns.

Highlight your question here. Go to edit>copy. Open a new email form. Put his address in the top. Put please read in the subject line. Click on the empty box and go to edit>paste. Hit send. Now he knows. It's in his ball park. You might add something like, I'm really sorry for how it turned out before, how about trying again?

If he wants to talk to you, he will. He must still care about you or you wouldn't be communicating!

Probably way too much water under that bridge to make a go of it after the history. Focus on your life, move on and enjoy life.
