Poetic Justice that is what we need! Such a question only a Dr. of Philosophy could ask....I do not believe that people are blind, helpless and unknowing in their pursuit to "KNOW" Wanting to know...pursuing knowledge, asking questions are all conscious acts. Surely there are times when a man can fall upon some bit of knowledge when he is not in pursuit of it. Would you if given a choice rather know or not know? Surely your answer would be conditional. As far as an individual not being able/ capable of being toe to toe with "not" knowing...all I can say is I hope--" they" who ever they may be are not trying to dance with each other....talk about getting your toes crushed! OUCH!! Step-ed on...OUCH! Seconds...minutes...they all add up and before you know it another day has both come and gone... People are the way they are for the lifetime of reasons they accumulated on their journey thus far.... I bow to you

Knowledge is power. Look deep within yourself and search for the answer; it's the same reason you just asked this question and keep checking for new answers. Knowledge is also information which needs to be known in order to survive like common sense and making the right choices for him or her. Not knowing is not the way humans were designed to be.
We're in hell that's why, and every step towards knowing we're going towards heaven.

It is all apart of human nature, homo sapiens have highly developed brains...knowledge, or knowing is power... we seem to be designed in this way, that we have this strong urge to know...after all the brain is like one big muscle, that we need to exercise, and feed with knowledge... this addiction to knowing is all part of mental growth too, knowing is all part of stimulation to the mind, and this addiction to know extends far beyond the realm of chemical dependency, which can also be described as an attitude. To not know leaves you vunerable, and unsure that's why knowing makes us feel safe, and we are aware of what is going on, and better informed.

That's what separates us from other "animals." Curiosity. We just gotta know. God/nature/The Force gave us good thinkin' brains in our heads for this reason.

Nice question!

I like the way it makes me think about myself. I guess there is no real answer to such a question, and if there is, I rather not know ;-).
