Don't waste money on a "school" there are companies that you can check out check out http://www.movieworknow.com/ I know for a fact that the extras on the upcoming Jamie Foxx, Jessica Alba movie that was shot in the Phoenix area were from that company. I believe they have modelling contracts also.

Well, I don't think so, because the seven-year-old probably won't want to be a model forever. If she or he REALLY wants to model, then they might have a career for a few years, but don't expect to spend all that money and have them want to do it forever.
You should just have them try out for different modeling things, because on TV, they have numbers you can call to try out for modeling shows and for TV shows.

Most of those schools will fill you with empty promises.
You really need to live near a big city to get jobs. Like LA Seatlle Chicago,Boston etc.
Especially southern CA they have lots of of sasting calls.
It takes lots os work on a parents part to get your kid out there.
Let it be fun for your kid. Any pressure will be destructive

I'd be careful there are a lot of modeling scams.
look into the company to make sure they are in the up and up.
