yes size matters in determining rate of diffusion.bigger the size more the time taken for diffusion.

Yes, the factors controlling the rate of diffusion is the size of the diffusing particle, the mass of the particle and the amount of surface area, and don't forget about the temp.

yes as the speed of diffusion dosent change the size of the object has an effect on it

ya it does if the size is big the diffusion rate will be slowed down coz it takes longer for it to move & if its small then the diffusion will be fast as its gonna move swiftly.

This depends on the interpretation of diffussion and how you want to use it. In terms of a body taking on another compound, the volume to surface area ratio will win hands down everytime. However, certain compounds are more prone to picking things up. Hydroscopic compounds pick up moisture very readily and there are some compounds that will pick up moisture from the air quicker in a humid envoironment regardless of the volume to surface area ratio.

As molecular length will develop, the speed of diffusion decreases. imagine about it this way. when you're operating through a dense woodland, who you run quicker in case you've been a large football participant or in case you've been a tiny horseback rider? (assuming they could commonly run on a similar p.c.)
