Personally I think snowboarding is much easier. I had to teach myself in 5 mins because I was stranded at the top of the lift by the kid who was going to teach me. Since I had to be back at work shortly after, (I worked at a ski resort at the time) I had to figure out on my own how to get to the bottom. It was incredibly easy though. I also felt alot safer and more coordinated on a snowboard than skis.

I had taken skiing lessons countless times prior and it didn't matter if they were group lessons or private, I could not get any of it no matter how hard I tried.

I found snowboarding easier as both feet were on the same board! With skiing i kept doing the splits & found it much harder

I think it's easier to learn to ski. When your on a snowboard, u hav 2 learn to balance and u can't take ur feet of tha board. I tried both and I thought learning to snowboard was alot harder....although it is pretty fun.

relies upon what mountain you're on. many mountains furnish complete-season leases, that's probable your terrific wager. It expenses particularly below 0.5 of the retail fee, you get a distinctly good product, and if it seems which you hate snowboarding/snowboarding, you will no longer have the equipment next season. in case you do finally end up taking area in it, you are able to continuously purchase skis/board later. threat is, in case you purchase equipment suited now as a beginner, you will prefer to purchase bigger overall performance equipment once you're extra matured.. i might wait, for specific.

I can ski myself and find it really good. I only got taught in what about 3 months and am really good. I imagine snowboarding would be a bit difficult because you have less options to move your feet!

ski - I took me about a day before I was skiing by myself. I tried to snowboard for 2 days and wasn't even close to getting down a slope by myself
