There are high-quality canned and pelleted foods for turtles, usually formulated for specific types. These are pretty expensive though and most keepers prefer cheaper and more nutritious food options. Even when these are used, they generally do not make up more than about 20-30% of the diet.

With my tortoises, I do keep some 'fast food' (canned tortoise food) around for those days I don't have much fresh food around- but I generally avoid the stuff.

Some people will tell you that some turtles can be fed with canned or dry dog or cat foods- while some turtles can have a little of this food, most cannot.

Its not the healthiest diet but i think it will nutrient it enough. I had a turtle and i gave it dry food and it lasted over 5 years.

No, I have a turtle, you can slice up a fruit, or some crickets, some worms( make sure you cut them up good). But just don't feed you turtle greens, they aren't high in something I forget what it was but the place where i got mine said just no greens.

If you do slice a fruit, be sure to peel the skin, and cut it very small

Turtles should have a diet that is varied between vegetables and meat. I have turtles and they don't like dry food (as far as kibble). They like krill, shrimp, and bits of lettuce and lunchmeat.

It could be done, but it is not advisable since they like we do need some greens in their diet. Some canned/dry foods do contain greens but it's not fresh naturally and not as good as the real thing.

I would look up the breed of turtle you have and see what they recomend for the species(some need more veggies and some need more protien). I answered your other question about offering them soem worms to help fatten them up, I bet they would like some varitiy added to their diet. Maybe add some feeder fish in the water for them to eat and chase.

well it would depend on the breed of turtle but still all turtles
need a little variety in their diet, they would be healthier and
most likely would live longer
