i notice its a rare occurance when theres a champion when having two or more coaches in the four major sports......so far theres six and counting

Yes, New Jersey. I think they fired Pat Burns or Jim Schoenfeld and finished the season with Larry Robinson

The Devils also fired Robbie Ftorek with 8 games left in the regular season and Larry Robinson took over and they won the Cup. I don't remember if that was 2000 or 2003.

Another one is the Montreal Canadiens in 1971. Al McNeil replaced Claude Ruel.
