it really depends on what you consider to be worth the price. i've been seeing alot of people saying the ps3 isn't worth the money, which isn't entirely true.
from a hardware standpoint, paying the actual retail price for the ps3 your actually getting a pretty good deal. one of the best features of the ps3 is it's blueray dvd player. a stand-alone blue ray dvd player retails for around 900-1000$, and your only getting a dvd player at that cost.
from a software standpoint however, the ps3 is not worth the money yet. the launch titles are too few, and the quality ones even fewer. personally the only launch title im interested in is Resistance: fall of man. alot of the other games are just nicer looking versions of games you probably already have (madden/nba live)

the wii doesn't have the hardware to compete with the ps3 graphically, but the launch titles are far better (zelda/red steel). the wii should make for a fun gaming experience, far different than any kind of console gaming available at the moment. which is ultimately what gaming is supposed to be about, having fun.

i'd say go with the wii for now, then come june 2007 go out and buy a ps3. there should be more quality ps3 games by then, and you won't have to fight your way through your local retail store to get one.

The Wii is $250 MSRP, XBox 360 is $300 MSRP and the PS3 is $600 MSRP.

At this point, though. Good luck getting a PS3 at that price, your best chance to get one is for around four times MSRP on eBay. I'm looking right now at a couple PS3's with 1 minute left on them and the 20 Gig HDD ones are going for $1,125 to $1,500, and the 60 Gig models more like $1,200 to $1,600. By now just about every retailer will be sold out with no plans to restock before the end of the year.

You'd have to be absolutly insane to pay that. If you're really bent on the technology, which I conceed is pretty dope, wait for the restock. Heck, buy a Wii AND a 360 to keep you entertained until they restock and it's STILL cheaper than what they're paying on eBay.

I really wouldn't get a PS3 until the price drops some, wait a year or something, I'd say.

It's hard to gauge the hardware specs for the Wii. IBM and Nintendo have been pretty quiet about the processer and the GPU doesn't have a Wikipedia entry. But if history is any indicator, it's probably just about comperable or slightly inferior to the 360.

So, in terms of value it's pretty simple. PS3 isn't worth it, not yet. So the choice is between the 360 and the Wii, which are as clearly different as night and day. For the 'Hardcore' gamer, the 360 would probably be the best choice. For the casual gamer, the old schooler or for a family toy the Wii is your silver bullet.

no longer something on the PS3 particularly hobbies me, save for Disgaea 3. I had an Xbox 360 which I bought, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it turn into nonetheless a rather cool device. Plus, there are alot of stable video games for it this time around - Soul Calibur IV, memories of Vesperia, GTA4, and others... The Wii, even regardless of the undeniable fact that, is my absolute renowned. It has a ton of great video games. =3 So yeah, the two the Wii or the 360. once you're prepared on conflict video games and different video games of the kind, I say choose for the 360. The Wii has a gaggle of great little extras, and is great for people of each age. I nonetheless have not have been given any clue why people hate it a lot. memories of Symphonia 2 is popping out for it, too.

Well...I think that the PS3 price is ridiculous. I'm sure that it is a great system, but its not worth $700.

The XBOX 360 is a great system. It's cheaper than the PS3 but it probably isn't quite as good. Don't take that as fact though because I have never played the PS3.

I have not played Wii and I don't know what it costs so I can't say anything about that.

Ok, in the Xbox they just have a standard cd/dvd player and the controlers are really hard to use but the PS3 has Blu-Ray and Bluetooth technology(for the remotes) and you dont have to keep replacing the batteries in the controlers all u have to do is plug it in the PS3 and it charges it itself and all the best equipment and the wii only has motion sensing and i dont think it can play dvds or cds not sure though so its not the greatest but the best in my opinion is the PS3 by a lot!

THE NEW PS3 HAS THE HIGHEST WORTH. IT HAS THE MOST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, BUT IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE. BUT IT IS THE MOST WORTH THE MONEY BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY COMPUTERS WITH THAT ADVANCED OF A SYSTEM. XBOX PROBABLY HAS THE SECOND HIGHEST WORTH, BUT THE NEW PS3 IS TOP OF THE TECHNOLOGY LINE.
