Seriously, do not take caster oil while you are pregnant. My doctor specifically told me that caster oil is BAD for the baby. It is not going to help the baby drop. Go on walks and have sex with your husband. Orgasm helps to stimulate contractions.

Don't try it unless you want to be shitting your self for the next three days. I had a friend who was 2 1/2 weeks late and took castor oil and **** for two days. And still hung on to that baby for another 3 days when they induced her.
good luck

Castor Oil will help you go into labor, but for your labor to progress the baby needs to draop and the best way for that to happen is walk and walk a lot. Besides, Castor oil only works by giving you the runs and cleaning out your bowls, so it can be a messy prelabor event, I wouldn't suggest it. But good luck with your decision. I would suggest, sex, warm baths, walking, and the giant bounciny excersise balls to sit and bounce.

Ive heard alot of stories about castor oil and ive met people who have used it. It worked for none of them. It did make a few of my friends sick and constantly running to the loo!
U can also try raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, curries, sex, long walks and black cohosh. Try it if you like, u never know it may work.

Some doctors have been known to recommend it, and even left orders for the mother to go to a certain drugstore and ask for it in a beverage at the soda fountain. No one will say it is a treat, but it is known to do the job.

yes, buy you could go into labor, so check with your doctor. i used castor oil with my second baby. i warmed it up so it wasn't so thick, then mixed it with orange juice and drank it. a few hours later, my stomach started to cramp, i had to poop, when i was done, i was in labor. if you decide to do this, make sure someone is with you if you do indeed, go into labor. good luck.

No. What you will do is give your self a terrible stomach ache and all the "pushing" can start contractions but when I meantioned this to my doctor when I was pregnant he said "don't you dare". He said it dehydrates you and wears you out so that if you do go into labor you are over tired and dehydrated.
