No most of the problems with it are glitches with the system

the ps3 doesnt over heat or anything the only defects known at this time is the HDTV cables and it not working with all tvs which will be fixed in a simple update

my bros friends cosins ps3 had a cooling fan malfuntion and the ps3 got too hot and caught on fire

yea that happend with the x box wene it came out buddy said his disc melted so liek i donno wait for a while to buy ps3
