I don't think there are any good or "best" answers for Iraq - or our involvement there. The whole thing is FUBAR thanks to Cheney, Rummy and Shrub; but I think James Baker has it right (and I've never been a fan of his). The U.S. needs to open diplomatic conversations with Syria and Iran (stop calling them names Bully Bush!), and give more security responsibility to the Iraqis themselves. George Bush needs to stop acting like an immature 11 year old boy and act like a president of these United States!

Whatever is liked by most of the people of Iraq. They have several demands including withdrawal of invaders. Most people, whether they like it or not, think bringing back Saddam as its President will restore Iraq to normalcy. Other than withdrawal of invaders, it does not look like Iraqi people have comon goals. Shiites have different goals than Sunnis who in turn are different from Kurds. So, as long as these differences exist and they are ready to die for their ideals, there can be no peace.

Reading the previous answers; I'm a little surprised that more posters aren't saying "you know what, I was wrong too, I too thought that we were in danger", the bomb remember. We had a very different mindset then and it's evident in what a few poster said about no good way of scraping this little country off the bottom of our shoe. We not only killed their guys, we killed OUR guys too; Never forget. Where is the threat now? Probably in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Where is our strength? In Iraqistan.

Best solution to the Iraq will be got when America leaves that country. They can rule themselves. If on the other hand, if they quarrel among themselves, let them. Why should you and me bother.?

Flood the country with peace keeping forces preferably soliders from Islamac extraction. Withdraw soilders considered hostile to the natives. let the country govern its self and control extremists freaks who have a warped idea of what God is about. Deal with hostile countries like Iran and syria with isolation till they see sense. Show their people that we mean them no harm by supporting their development and infrastructure. Educate them about the wrongs of the Osama bin ladens of the Islamac States..

Education, communication and mental maturity.
Fact is, we could use more of such in this country.

The internet is changing the world , bit by byte.
Young people are beginning to question everything.

I've heard it said, "It's not the Doubting Thomas we
need fear. The biggest threat to mankind, is the
child who has no question."
