Blockading was initiated, as that was the only force available to get back immediatlely at Germany. The Brits had the strongest Navy and many of the ore, such as iron and nickel came from Sweden and Finland. France & Britain did not have superior preparation for war, in fact their only strategy was to man the Maginot Line. Hitlers last peace initiative was the taking of the Sudetland in Chechoslovakia, which Hitlet renigged on by taking over all of Chechoslovakia. Forming an alliance with Stalin was ludicrous, in view of his pact with Hitler that divided Poland.

Only Germany was ready for war in europe when it began. Some countries even flew WW1 type planes while others didn;t have dedicated airforces to try and defend in the beginning and I'm sure it was B, cos from what I have read and seen I remember all the countries accepting all his terms until it became blatantly obvious when they took France. I'm sure it was that. Then C, then D late in the war.

- I could be wrong, but I'm not looking it up either. (-:
