Nickel is just nickel.

Elements are base-form materials,,,,stuff in it's purest,simplest form.

Example,,Hydrogen and Oxygen are Both Elements.
Neither can be broken down any further at Molecular level.
Only at Atomic level.

They are both GASSES,,,but mix them in the correct proportion and you get a COMPOUND>>>>>WATER

IRON,,is an Element.

STEEL is a COMPOUND of Elements,,
including Iron,Nickel,Carbon,Manganese,Chromium,
and a variety of Other Elements according to the "recipe"

Stainless Steel,,is a Compound of Iron with a High degree of Nickel,,,
which is why Stainless Steel stays Bright & Shiny,,that's a characteristic of Nickel

Gold is Naturally "Yellow" ELEMENT
White Gold is an alloy/Compound of Gold & Nickel...and other stuff

Well, I think you answered you own question, bro. Nicklel is an element on the Periodic Table, in the Metals category. So it is a naturally-occuring substance found in the earth's crust, and is mined as an ore. It may also be used to combine with other metals to make what is known as an alloy. But nickel itself is just that: pure nickel. Just like Iron (Fe on the Table) or Copper (Cu) are pure elements.

Nickel is an element (and not an alloy and so has just nickel). It has only nickel atoms (a mix of 5 naturally isotopes of nickel).

Nickel is an element, so it cannot be broken down into other chemicals. A nickel atom is, however, made of protons, neutrons, and electrons, which can be broken into even smaller subatomic particles.

If you know it is an element, then why are you asking what is a dumb question. Elements are made of electron, protons and neutrons plus some other funnier named elemental particles. You know the periodic table number so you can work out the quantities of each of the main three particles.

it is an element, so it is made
up of only nickel atoms

It is made of Nickel like other metals on the periodic table (i.e. iron, copper, gold, silver)
