There are three averages, you need two, the mode+median, the other one is the mean.

The median is the middle of the data, so just arrange the data in order from least to greatest and cross out ones from either side one by one, but you're left with two in the middle, just take the average of 9 and 15, you get 12, which is your median.

The mode is the value that appears most in a set of data, in the first set 9 appears the most, thrice, so it's the mode.

In the second set no number appears more frequently than the others so there is no mode.

Hope this helps!!

Answer 1:
Median is the middle most observation when the observations are arranged in ascending or descending order.
As the numbers are already in ascending order, median can be calculated.
1, 4, 9, 15, 25, 36
There are 6 observations.
So median = (3rd observation + 4th observation)/2
= (9 + 15)/2
= 24/2
= 12

Answer 2:
Mode is the most frequently occuring observation is a set of data. The data is:
9, 8, 10, 9, 9, 10, 8
The mode is 9

Answer 3:
Mode is the most frequently occuring observation is a set of data.
The data is:
41, 43, 56, 67, 69, 72
Each observation occurs an equal number of times (once), so the modes are: 41, 43, 56, 67, 69 and 72

The Median is the midsection variety in a sequence. because of the fact this set has six numbers, you ought to nicely-known the midsection 2 numbers. So, it could be 9 plus 15 divided via 2. SO, the median of this set is 12.

The answer for the median is easy enough, assuming you know what the median is. It is the middle number by counting.

Because you have an even number, that would be either 15 or 25. To resolve this we average the two numbers and you get
15+25=40. 40/2 = 20.

I don't know what the mode is. Forgot.

You should actually read the definitions in your text book tho.
