is an 80gb worth it for the money?

i was thinking of buying an ipod but i cant choose between the 30gb and the 80gb. so any opinions?

I have a 30gb iPod and sometimes I wish I had more memory to put more movies and all my pictures. I have around 8 movies thou and more than 2,000 songs and still there are around 8gb free to use, but I don't use it for pictures 'cause I have to many in my computer and I don't think the iPod would hold it.

I guess you'd have to be a real music and video maniac to use 80gb completely, but I'd say it worth the money 'cause you can put absolutely everything on it and save space on your computer. so if you have the extra 100 bucks, why not?

I don't think an 80gb player is worth it, unless you have a crapload of music. I have a 30 gb Ipod, and I've only used up 6GB by downloading my entire music collection. I have never met anyone who could use 80gb with just music. However, some people might want to put tv shows on their Ipod, so if you want to do that...you might want to get the 80gb one.

Well my 4GB holds 1000 songs (iPod mini) and its too much. I only have 350 songs :P
But if your holding pictures of your daughter or friends then a 30 GB would help
and and 80GB would help if you wanted to hold lots of movies
Id go with the 30GB so u can use 4GB for music the rest for pics and music

for an extra 100 dollars get the 80 gig you will never have to erase any music to put your new stuff on, and will be able to fit more movies if you travel by plane or road trip allot. After uploading my library I had over 40 gigs of music, and really wish I would have spent the extra 100.00 for the 60. Now I have to spend 349 on the 80 gig. go for the gusto get the 80 gig then you will never run out of room.

Dude, you do NOT need 80GB of music/videos/whatever. My computer's HD is 40GB, and it's still not full, that's with over a day of music and several relatively large games. Don't waste your money on space that you can't possibly fill.

Ipod's are on their way out. I would go with a USB MP3 player. Much more durable, more uses, and will last longer.

It has so much more memory so you can watch alot more videos,hold more pics and songs. For the more money you get alot more memory.
